Sutter Says:
That he was a hospital chaplain in Ohio:
"I am assigned as a Catholic Chaplain at St. John's Westshore Hospital, the
Cleveland Clinic and Lakewood Hospital."(source)
The Truth:
The hospitals have no record of Sutter having been assigned to
them during that time.
Sutter has also claimed to be a member of the "Ohio Police and Firefighters Chaplains Association" (source) We cannot find that this organization even exists.
He has also claimed to be the co-chair for the Ohio state Penal Oversight Committee or OSPOC (source). In fact, he was never even a member.
In 2009, Sutter purchased a $35.00 membership in the International Chaplains Association. His name appeared briefly in the ICA directory until an investigation was requested and it was quickly determined that he did not belong. His dues were returned and he was expelled from the membership.
